Happy New Year in Christ!!!

With God’s grace, we are having another new year in Christ.

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. In him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.”                                                                      Ephesians 2:19-22

When I was called to serve our church some months ago, I was wondering if I could do the pastoral duty well because I was not familiar with the service style and the church culture. However, Ruth and I are no longer strangers. We feel like we have been a member for a long time. I thank you all our congregations. Without your support and generosity, we might not be able to make it. I am so thankful to God for bringing me to our church and so happy to serve our church.

I am not sure if you remember my first sermon. Apostle Paul encouraged the church in Ephesus by showing a picture of the holy temple in the Lord. I hope we can build a same holy temple in the community in the Bible.

  1. Jesus Christ is the foundation and the chief cornerstone
  2. On top of that, Apostles and Prophets
  3. On top of that, our forefathers in Christ
  4. On top of that, we, believers
  5. Our neighbors on top of us

Now, that looks like a nice holy church building… I pray that we can reinforce our church with more members and our community. We can continue to serve God’s people in the community while we enjoy our life in Christ.

I am excited to see how our LORD bless our church and our members in Christ. Let’s follow our morning start, Jesus Christ. Let’s be a small light to our family, our community, and the world. I pray that Immanuel ‘God is with us’ with you all and me.

Let’s get excited and joyful for the New Year.

In Christ,
Pastor David
