Organist and/or Piano Player Wanted
The First Baptist Church of Wollaston in Quincy, MA, seeks a skilled organist and/or pianist to join the music ministry team. The organist/pianist will play for the congregation during church services help rebuild the choir. This position reports to the Music Committee and is overseen by the Pastor.
The church has an eclectic mix of congregational hymns and praise songs.
Necessary Skills
- Organ skills are desired, but not necessary (if you are a piano player).
Note: Our organ can play itself, however, you will use both instruments.
- Ability to play hymns, service music, and special music of moderate difficulty.
- Experience with and basic knowledge of church music.
- Flexibility, sight-reading, and improvisatory abilities desired.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Possess good organizational and communication skills.
